Things are gaining some serious traction around here.

As promised, we’re giving you an early look behind the scenes with some of the concept development art we’ve been working on. It’s shaping up to be really cool. We’ve also got fresh updates on what we hope our first game will look like—so we’re dedicating this post entirely to that.

As always, we love hearing your thoughts, so keep the feedback coming!

Last week, we shared that we’ll be building our first game in a pretty public way—showing progress, sharing updates, and involving you along the journey. We also revealed our core concept: robots playing tag. But not just any tag—we’re taking inspiration from the intensity and strategy of World Chase Tag competitions.

Above is our very first sketch! We’re so grateful to Skylar Whisler, who’s been pouring serious time and creativity into these early designs. This initial vision is helping to bring the whole concept to life.

Customization is another element we’re working into the experience. While we want to keep things fairly simple (so we can focus on clean mechanics and performance), we do want to give players just enough creative flexibility to personalize their robots.

Think of it like “just enough flavor” to make your bot feel like your own—without overcomplicating the process or bogging down development..

Another big focus for us is multiplayer gameplay. Ideally, we’d love for players to be able to compete:

  • 1v1, either online or in person

  • Against an AI opponent

  • In a variety of short, high-energy match formats

We want this game to feel professional right from the start. That means intuitive design, snappy animations, and a polished multiplayer experience.

So there you have it—our first real peek into the game we’re building together. It’s still early, but we’re loving how it’s coming together. There’s something really special about watching an idea begin to take shape—and we’re pumped to have you along for the ride.
