Blog #13: Bye Bye, Bean!

This week- we have a HUGE update….
WE ARE SAYING FAREWELL TO THE BELOVED BEAN!
He’s served us and our Alpha Team well - but all good things (well… “functional things” might better fit) must come to an end. So here we are. Beginning the incredibly exciting journey towards adding an animated character into our game.
Say hello to the first iteration of our character that is in our animation studio right now. We plan to run through multiple versions of this to see what fits best in our end game vision. We are getting him rigged and ready to roll.


While his design is being finalized, we’ve got a stand-in bot who we have officially put into the arena. He’s the example we are using to test the animation pack, and ensure it all looks like it flows. Take a sneak peak.

There you have it folks! The biggest update we’ve had in awhile, and it’s taken time to get a plan together. If you or anyone you know has any expertise they’d like to share with us about animation or rigging or even designing in Unity - let us know. We are always open to have some help!
Keep an eye on our socials, (and especially Discord) because here soon we are going to be running a competition to help brainstorm a name for our new bot. We’ll be sharing details about that here soon!
